Collection: Kishore Kumar Sahu

Kishore Kumar Sahu, an artist originally from Chhattisgarh but presently living and practicing art in Delhi, is a lover of Nature. But surely of a different kind.  Natural objects - flowers, leaves, twigs, butterflies, bees, spiders – make appearances on his canvases. But they are not depicted realistically. Kishore treats them differently. He rearranges the Nature- the colours of leaves and flowers, the size of trees- in his mind and makes them anew. In one of his paintings of this exhibition there is a tree seems to be surrounded by red threads, from top to bottom. One can’t find this type of tree anywhere, neither in forests nor  in  parks. This particular tree is imagined by Kishore.  It is constructed in the landscape of his mind. And not only this tree, but flowers, leaves, butterflies and other creatures on his canvases are works of imagination, of course influenced by real Nature.
