Amit Kumar (born. 1981, Ghosi, Mau, U.P.) is a distinguished contemporary artist known for his dynamic exploration of socio-cultural themes through diverse mediums. A graduate of B.H.U. Varanasi (B.F.A., 2004) and College of Arts & Crafts, Lucknow (M.F.A., 2006), he actively engages in painting, drawing, and multimedia practices. His works reflect deep social consciousness and environmental concerns. Amit has showcased his art in numerous national and international exhibitions, earning accolades like the 57th National Award by Lalit Kala Akademi (2016). He continues to contribute to the art community as an executive member of the State Lalit Kala Akademi, U.P. 

Amit Kumar's artwork thoughtfully contrasts India's evolving expressways with rural landscapes, blending imagery of cattle and zebra-like patterns to explore the relationship between nature and human development.
