Collection: Shikha Patel

Shikha Patel, born in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, is a highly accomplished figurative artist. She completed her BFA (Painting) and MFA (Painting) from Banaras Hindu University, graduating in 2015 and 2017, respectively. She is a JRF-qualified Research Scholar in the Faculty of Visual Arts at BHU. Her work delves into human behavior in socio-political contexts, intertwining personal experiences and employing symbolic metaphors. Shikha’s art explores self-identity, urban life, and the complexities of societal systems, utilizing a variety of mediums such as oils, acrylics, found objects, and digital elements.

Her contributions to contemporary art have been recognized through various awards, including the Art for Hope Grant from Hyundai (2023), Junior Fellowship (2019), and several others. She has also participated in numerous national and international exhibitions and art camps.
