Shekh Hifzul Kabeer, born in 1978 in Khairagarh, Chhattisgarh, is an Indian artist based in Delhi. His work is deeply influenced by the folklore and indigenous art of his hometown, blending mythological characters, contemporary figures, and fables. Kabeer earned his MFA in painting from Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya in 2002. In 2008-09, he was awarded a Junior Fellowship from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. His paintings have been showcased in exhibitions across India and art fairs, exploring themes of pain, anxiety, and the impact of the pandemic through mythological symbolism.
