Ashok Kumar is an internationally acclaimed contemporary artist whose creative vision bridges India’s spiritual depth and France’s modern sensibility. After earning his BFA from the College of Art, Patna (1987), he pursued advanced studies at L’Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Marseille, France (1990) through a scholarship. He later received the Senior Fellowship in Painting (2015–16) from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, recognizing his artistic excellence. He has held numerous solo exhibitions in India and abroad, including at Jehangir Art Gallery (Mumbai), Colors Corridor Art Gallery (New Delhi), and Kim Bo Seong Art Center (Seoul, 2025). His art featured globally, including on the ARTSY platform by ACS Gallery, Chicago (2017–18), affirming his international repute.

Kumar’s work explores the connection between human consciousness and nature, blending semi-figurative forms with symbolic imagery that reflect cultural diversity and spiritual energy. His paintings evoke harmony, balance, and transcendence through vibrant colors and rhythmic compositions.
