Born on 2002, Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, Prateek Kumar Mishra is a visual artist from Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh. He completed his BFA in Painting from Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur (2019–2023), and is pursuing his MFA at Kala Bhavana, Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan (2023–2025).

His artistic practice unfolds through a reflective dialogue between nature and the self. Deeply influenced by his time in Santiniketan, Prateek draws inspiration from trees—their resilience, branching structures, and silent endurance—viewing them as metaphors for memory, transformation, and continuity.

Working primarily on large paper surfaces, he follows an intuitive, process-driven approach that begins outdoors with spontaneous sketches and evolves in the studio through layers of contemplation. His works transcend natural observation to evoke emotional landscapes, where the visible and invisible merge. Through this meditative exploration, Prateek reimagines nature as an extension of human consciousness, revealing the subtle connections between the organic world and inner experience.
