Collection: Shreya Dey

Born on 19th March 1998 in West Bengal, raised in Prayagraj(Uttar Pradesh).Shreya completed her Post Graduation(M.A.) from Allahabad University(2020).  A self taught artist whose artistic journey began in childhood and is deeply passionate about the rich cultural heritage of India . Her works celebrates the timeless beauty of Indian traditional and folk art forms  in her self taught style which adds new textures and creative variations to classical forms.

For this exhibition she presents paintings inspired by Odisha’s Pattachitra tradition. Though never formally trained in any art form, her creations beautifully echo its intricate detailing spiritual themes and vibrant storytelling. Each piece is a heartfelt homage to India’s artistic legacy blending tradition with personal interpretation .She reimagines  classical motifs through her own expressive lens and expresses it in her own style and emotion.

This exhibition marks her first public showcase. With this debut she looks forward to create many more works inspired by India’s traditional art styles continuing her journey of learning, devotion and creative exploration.
