Collection: Kasa Vinay Kumar, Andhra Pradesh

Born on 1979 in Tadepalligudem, Andhra Pradesh, Kasa Vinay Kumar, also known as Kasa Vinay Kumar, is a contemporary artist whose practice bridges the realms of printmaking and painting. A graduate of the College of Fine Arts, Chennai, his artistic journey has evolved through diverse thematic explorations that merge personal experience with social commentary.

His early works drew inspiration from tribal life and the five elements, exploring the symbolic and physical relationship between man and woman. Over time, his focus shifted to the concept of money—its omnipresence, its influence on human behavior, and its subtle manipulation of relationships. Through this lens, Vinay examines the emotional and material exchanges that define human existence, often drawing from his own familial experiences—likening his father to an ATM and himself as the card, emphasizing the intertwined nature of emotional and financial currency.

In his recent series, Vinay delves deeper into the psychological and social power of money, creating works that are both introspective and critical, reflecting the complex intersections of value, dependency, and desire in modern life.
