Collection: Manisha Kumari

Visual artist based in Lucknow, originally from Jamshedpur. Her art explores the poetic relationship between nature and human emotion, transforming delicate observations of the natural world into thoughtful visual expressions. She holds a Diploma in Fine Arts from Rabindra Bhawan, Tagore School of Fine Arts (2008), and completed her BFA (2012) and MFA (2014) in Painting from Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh. Over the years, she has participated in several significant exhibitions, including the 60th National Lalit Kala Akademi, AIFACS, and many regional and national shows across India. Her achievements include the Dot Searching Talent All India Online Art Award (2018), along with participation in numerous art camps and creative workshops.

Through her artistic practice, Manisha seeks to preserve the tranquil beauty of nature within the evolving language of contemporary art. Working primarily with pen and ink, she captures nature’s quiet strength and fluidity using intricate black-and-white drawings. The simplicity of her medium allows her to focus on the essence of form, texture, and rhythm. She also experiments with layering paper and exploring tonal variations to bring depth and movement to her work. Her art serves as a meditative reflection—a gentle reminder of the harmony between nature and the human spirit, where silence, simplicity, and emotion merge seamlessly into visual poetry.
