Collection: Lakhan Singh, Rajasthan

Born in Rajasthan, India – Lives and works in Jaipur, Rooted in the soil of Rajasthan yet reaching toward universal rhythms, Lakhan Singh Jat weaves a poetic dialogue between form, color, and nature. His paintings pulse with vibrant hues, intricate beehexa blocks, floating roots, and birds — symbols of memory, migration, and regeneration. These recurring motifs form an abstract lexicon through which he meditates on life’s cyclical balance and the unseen energies that connect all beings.

A graduate of the Rajasthan School of Art, Jaipur (BFA 2007, MFA 2009), Jat’s journey reflects both mastery and introspection. Recipient of the Junior Fellowship from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India (2019–2020) and the State Award by Lalit Kala Akademi, Rajasthan (2011), his art has evolved through deep observation and an intuitive connection with nature’s geometry.

His works have been showcased in numerous solo and group exhibitions across India, from Jawahar Kala Kendra to India Art Festival, Mumbai, establishing him as a distinctive voice in contemporary Indian art who transforms traditional sensibilities into radiant, living visions.
