Collection: Dr. Sonam Shikarwar

Born on 1985, an accomplished  artist and scholar from Bhopal, Dr. Sonam Sikarwar holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in Fine Arts. Deeply rooted in the artistic and cultural heritage of her native city, her practice reflects an evolving dialogue between nature, human emotion, and existential thought. Beginning her journey at Bharat Bhavan in 2007, she has since participated in numerous prestigious national and international exhibitions, including the Chennai Art Biennale (2024) and the Gwangju International Art Fair (South Korea, 2023).

Her projects “Future World” and “Circle of Life” encapsulate her reflective engagement with environmental and philosophical concerns. Future World envisions a planet on the brink of transformation—an artistic response to ecological imbalance and a call for collective responsibility. Circle of Life delves into the metaphysical idea of interconnectedness, portraying the cyclical nature of existence and human emotions.

Recipient of the Ram Manohar Sinha State Award and the Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation Award, Dr. Sikarwar’s works stand as poetic meditations on the harmony between freedom, connection, and the ever-evolving rhythm of life.
