Mamata Samantaray is a distinguished visual artist from Odisha whose works explore the deep connection between spirituality, culture, and human emotion. With over three decades of mastery in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media, she seamlessly blends realism and abstraction, celebrating Odisha’s mythological and artistic heritage through contemporary expression.

She holds a BFA in Painting (1991) from B.K. College of Arts and Crafts, Bhubaneswar, and has received honors including the Kalinga Literary Art Festival Best Woman Artist Award (2025) and Kalaakalpam Ratna Award (2022).
