Sanjay Kumar 'Raj' completed his Bachelor of Visual Art and Master of Visual Art at the College of Arts & Crafts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Lucknow University, Lucknow in 2014 and 2016, respectively.

He has showcased his artwork in four solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group art exhibitions in both domestic and international settings. Furthermore, he has participated in the Artist Residency program at EKAANT ART and DEHGAM. His artistic endeavours have been featured in various national and international shows, and he has contributed to multiple national and international art workshops and artist camps.

Sanjay has also taken part in art camps and festivals in Nepal and Indonesia. His artistic prowess has earned him the prestigious 'Young Artist Scholarship' and Junior fellowship from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. He has been conferred with several awards, including the National Award by Camel Art Foundation, and the All India Award by AIFACS New Delhi, among others. 

His artworks are esteemed additions to numerous public, private, and government collections in national and international organizations, and are cherished by art connoisseurs in Nepal, Bangladesh, Bharat Bhawan Bhopal, Lalit Kala Akademi, NCZCC, Urvashi Art Museum Gurugram, Jaipur Art Summit, and similar establishments.
