Collection: Majeed Mansoori

Born on 1991, Bundelkhand, Mahoba, U.P,

M.M. Mansoori is a contemporary artist based in Lucknow, where he has been living and creating for over fourteen years. He completed his BFA (2014) and MFA (2016) in Painting from the College of Arts, Lucknow University, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Visual Arts from Mangalayatan University. Mansoori has worked as an artist and educator for the past decade and was part of the INTACH Conservation Center, Lucknow, where he contributed to mural documentation across more than 550 heritage sites.

He received the National Research Scholarship Award (Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, 2018) and has exhibited widely in India and abroad—including Nepal, Bangladesh, Singapore, Italy, and Vietnam—with over 50 national exhibitions, 5 solo shows, and numerous art camps and seminars.

Rooted in Bundelkhand’s rugged terrains and enriched by Lucknow’s grace, Mansoori’s abstract paintings explore ‘Varnadhyatma’—a spiritual journey through color. His forms emerge intuitively, without drawing, creating layered compositions where color, texture, and emotion coexist. His bold strokes and tonal contrasts reveal a dialogue between inner stillness and expressive energy—transforming personal experience into meditative visual poetry.
