Collection: Suchita

Born on 25th September 1993 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, Shuchita Singh is a ceramic artist whose creative journey bridges traditional craft sensibilities with contemporary form. She holds a Diploma in Pottery and Ceramics from Banaras Hindu University (2019) and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Sunbeam College for Women, Varanasi (2014).

Deeply inspired by the earthy tactility and meditative rhythm of clay, her works explore the dialogue between form, texture, and emotion. Shuchita’s practice reflects a balance between functionality and aesthetics—transforming raw earth into poetic sculptural expressions that celebrate the organic beauty of imperfection.

She has contributed actively to art education and community practice, serving as a Guest Lecturer at the Department of Lalit Kala, MGKVP, Varanasi (2022–2023), and as a Teaching Assistant in the Terracotta Art Workshop organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences, BHU (2023).

Shuchita has also organized regional exhibitions under the Lalit Kala Akademi, Varanasi, and continues to evolve her practice with a focus on ceramic innovation rooted in Indian tradition.
